The provider would not renew the stored sign-in, or the stored sign-in has no usable token, so sending stops until you sign in again.

This article is for sites using **One-Click Setup** where sending fails with `would not renew the sign-in` or `one-click sign-in has no usable token`.

> **The error as you see it:** `One-Click Setup: Google would not renew the sign-in` (or Microsoft), or `One-Click Setup: the one-click sign-in has no usable token`
>
> Shown in the failed-send banner, in **Tools → Debug Events** and in the **Email Log**.

## What this error means

A One-Click connection is renewed automatically shortly before it expires. The provider refused this renewal, which means the stored sign-in is no longer valid on their side. Until you sign in again, no email goes out through this mailer.

## Common causes

- **The password was changed** or the account's sessions were signed out everywhere, which revokes app access at Google and Microsoft.
- **Access was removed** under the account's connected apps or by an administrator.
- **The account was disabled or deleted.**
- **The connection was never completed** and only a partial result was stored, for example after a browser crash.

## How to fix it

1. Open **Email Delivery**, choose the mailer and click **Sign in** again. Renewal works again as soon as the new sign-in is stored.
2. If sign-in succeeds but the error returns within a day, check with the account's administrator whether app access is being revoked by policy, and consider the **Your own app** mode instead.
3. Send a test email from **Tools → Email Test** to confirm mail is flowing.
