Connect CRM-NG SMTP to Pepipost, now Netcore Email API, with an API key and a verified sending domain.

This guide shows you how to send your WordPress email through Pepipost, the transactional email service that is now part of Netcore Cloud and sold as the Netcore Email API. It suits businesses already using Netcore, and senders with customers in India and Asia, where Netcore is strong. Netcore has offered a free trial allowance for new accounts; check its site for the current terms.

The Pepipost mailer sends through the Pepipost/Netcore email API with an API key. You also verify the domain you send from.

Names you may see

Netcore has moved the product between names and addresses over the years. You may see Pepipost, Netcore Email API or Netcore Cloud, and the dashboard may open at app.pepipost.com or a netcorecloud.com address. The steps are the same; look for the pages named below.

Before you start

  • A Pepipost or Netcore Email API account (start at https://netcorecloud.com/).
  • A domain you control, with access to its DNS records.
  • Administrator access to your WordPress site.

Step 1: Add and verify your sending domain

  1. Sign in

Sign in to your Pepipost or Netcore email dashboard.

  2. Open sending domains

Open Settings and look for Sending Domains (or Domains).

  3. Add your domain

Enter the domain you will send from.

  4. Publish the records

The dashboard shows SPF and DKIM records (and sometimes a tracking CNAME). Add them at your DNS provider exactly as shown.

  5. Verify

Return and run the check until the domain shows as verified or active. Netcore may also review new domains before they can send.

See Adding DNS records if you are new to DNS.

Step 2: Get your API key

  1. Open the integration page

Open Settings → Integration (the plugin's Get the API Key link goes to https://app.pepipost.com/app/settings/integration).

  2. Copy the key

Find the API key for the email API and copy it. If you have several keys, use one for this site only, so you can revoke it on its own.

Step 3: Connect in CRM-NG SMTP

  1. Choose the mailer

In WordPress, open CRM-NG SMTP → Settings → General and set Mailer to Pepipost.

  2. Paste the key

Paste the key into API Key.

  3. Set the sender

Set From Email to an address on your verified domain and set From Name. Tick Force From Email so other plugins cannot use an unverified domain.

  4. Save

    Press Save Settings.

Pepipost SMTP

An older Pepipost SMTP option only appears on sites that already had it switched on. For a new setup, use the Pepipost API mailer described here. If you must use SMTP, enter the SMTP details from your Netcore dashboard in Other SMTP.

Send a test email

Open CRM-NG SMTP → Tools → Email Test, enter your address in Send To, and press Send Email. The reports or logs page in your Netcore dashboard shows the message status. See Sending a test email.
